JODY Bevan is looking for his players to step up their performance levels as they head to Longlevens for an Emirates FA Cup replay on Tuesday evening.
A 1-1 draw between the sides at Cinder Lane on Saturday means a replay at The Sawmills tomorrow evening, with the boss offering his views ahead of another high profile contest.
“I was desperate to avoid a replay as we need to get out on the training pitch and work on a number of things, but we’re in still in the FA Cup,” he said speaking to BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
“I thought we worked hard on Saturday against Longlevens, but there are so many things we can work on.
“We have the basis and makings of a pretty good side but it will take time. In terms of performance, the goal we conceded was utterly preventable but it’s not a disaster, we got away with it.”
He added: “I want to be in the cup, don’t get me wrong. The FA Cup is massive to any Non-League side and we have another game now, we’re in the hat and I hope our lads are better on Tuesday night.”
