Fairford win on the road

After coming from behind on Saturday Fairford Town moved up to 2nd in the Hellenic League Premier Division with a 3-1 win at Reading City.

With Jody Bevan away this week Fairford Town Assistant Manager Jamie Reid took charge of Team affairs assisted by coaches Lee Randall and Shaun Morgan.

After going behind in the 1st minute second half goals from Connor Thompson, Nathan Hawkins and Mason Thompson saw Fairford Town notch up their 7th win in a row in all Competitions.

Nathan Hawkins scored his fourth goal of the season at the Rivermoor Stadium and Connor Thompson put in a MOTM performance to help secure all 3 points for the Reds.

Fairford Town now move onto Tuesday night at Cinder Lane with a local derby with Lydney Town 7.45pm KO. A win will see the Reds close the gap on leaders Westfields to 2 points, but assistant Reid knows his side will be in for a tough test at Cinder Lane.

It is another game to look forward to and to maintain the standards we have set ourselves.

Tuesday nights derby at Cinder Lane will be Severn Sports featured game and Reid will be at the helm once again as Manager Jody Bevan will be away.
