FAIRFORD Town’s Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup quarter-final against Flackwell Heath will take place this Tuesday 28th February.
When and where?
Fairford Town v Flackwell Heath
Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup Quarter-Final
Cinder Lane, Tuesday 28th February, 7.45pm
What’s the story?
This will be the third attempt at playing the game after two previous dates were struck off due to the weather. Both sides will be keen to make the last four of the competition.
There will be changes to the Reds’ line-up as manager Gareth Davies balances progress on a number of fronts, with Division One West the priority. Ben Newman could make his first appearance for the home side with the likes of Adam Bright and midfielder Sam Mepham also vying for places.
Flackwell are currently in third spot in the Premier Division and like Fairford, certainly know where the net is. They were 6-1 winners at Oxford City Nomads on Saturday and Dan Burnell is top scorer with 17.
Did you know?
Flackwell defender Dan Bayliss was recently named in the England Schools squad of 18. Congratulations to him and best wishes for the games.
