FAIRFORD Town manager Gareth Davies looks set to be without two players for this weekend’s home encounter with Abingdon United.
The 5-3 win came at a cost for the Reds with Davies forced into one early change before a heavy challenge later in the encounter meaning another switch.
Ahead of Saturday’s 2017 opener, the boss offered his views on the injury situation.
“The only tinge on the Purton result was a few injuries that we picked up,” explained Davies, now in his third season as Reds’ manager.
“First we lost Luke Cordery to a hamstring problem early on and then later in the game, Sean Wood to ankle ligament damage.
“Hopefully both of the boys will recover quickly and we’ll have them back asap as we continue with what is a busy month of league and cup action.
“On a positive note Dan Drewett started his first game since his injury at Purton and Jason Milhench is also available again on Saturday after serving a two-match suspension.”
Abingdon United visit Cinder Lane this Saturday (3pm).
