FAIRFORD Town were knocked out of the GFA Trophy by Henbury on Tuesday evening.
The Reds went two goals down with strikes from Harvey Moran and Kane Mannings before a late rally from the homeside.
A double change before the hour saw Charlie Bailey and Jamie Reid introduced to the action, with the former finding the back of the net just two minutes after entering the fray.
A further switch followed – with a rare appearance from manager Jody Bevan up front for the closing stages of the encounter – but it was Henbury who walked away with a 2-1 victory.
Bevan viewed the game as a missed opportunity as the Cinder Lane side were left to ponder what might have been.
“Tuesday night was such a disappointment. We were simply not good enough from start to finish and let ourselves down.
“Henbury deserved to win but for us it was a missed opportunity. The only real positive was a great finish from young Charlie Bailey.”
