FAIRFORD Town came from behind to earn three points that lifted them to the top of Division One West.
In front of a good crowd at Cinder Lane, the Reds conceded their first home league goal of the season when Danny Gudger produced a fine finish from the edge of the box. It was the striker’s 14th goal in 11 games to send the visitors into a half-time lead.
Fairford rallied in the second half though and when Lee Smith saw his dipping shot find the back of the net – the home side were level.
It was a late winner, but worth the wait, as Smith produced a fine drive to secure the victory that proved enough to take Gareth Davies’ side top on goal difference.
