Report: Fairford Town Res 0 Highworth Town Res 1

FAIRFORD Town’s reserves saw their mini unbeaten run come to an end with a narrow defeat in Saturday’s local derby encounter.

Andy Bright’s side, unbeaten in three games since their meeting with Highworth at the Rec in October, went a goal down early on with a first minute effort flying into the top corner.

The wet weather made conditions difficult and despite Richie Crocker partnering Danny Hale up front ahead of a five man midfield, the home side were unable to hit their stride.

As the game wore on conditions deteriorated and the home side were ultimately frustrated in their efforts to find a leveller.
