FAIRFORD Town breezed into the next round of the Bluefin Sport Supplementary Cup with a 5-0 away win against Division One East side Finchampstead on Saturday.
Midfielder Nathan Blackford scored twice in an entertaining contest that served as the ideal warm-up to the GFA Challenge Trophy semi-final at Bristol Manor Farm on Tuesday.
The opening goal arrived on the quarter of an hour mark with Jason Milhench brought down, allowing Blackford to step up and slide home the resulting spot-kick. Sam Ockwell marked his return to the starting side with a neat finish to double the lead before Blackford made it three with a bullet header.
Josh Morse fired home the fourth just after the hour with substitute Levi Cox capitalising on good work from Ben Saunders to add the fifth and final goal of the day.
