FAIRFORD Town produced a second half turnaround as they came from behind to progress to the second round of the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup.
Division One West visitors Kidlington started the game brightly and were awarded a penalty in first half injury-time to take the lead.
The home side switched to a 4-3-3 formation in the second half and the tactical switch paid dividends as the Reds got back on level terms. With striker Shane Bumphrey forced off injured, defender George Thrussell came off the bench as an emergency frontman and slotted home the equaliser, following up a shot that had been parried.
And the turnaround was completed when man of the match Liam Gale carved his way through before powering a right foot shot into the top corner.
