FAIRFORD Town were denied a first win of the 2017/18 campaign by a late leveller at Stag Meadow on Saturday.
Former Premier League frontman Barry Hayles rescued a point for the home side after a lively encounter.
Fairford had taken the lead with Lee Smith netting with a superb strike on 68 minutes. At this stage both sides were down to ten men after the dismissals of Haydon Clack and Nick Jones.
Jody Bevan’s side just edged the possession stats in the game but defended well throughout with new signings Luke Barstow and Lyndon Tompkins at the heart of the backline.
However the spoils were shared after Hayles’ late intervention.
