Minute’s Silence for ‘Hadgi’

FAIRFORD Town Football Club was saddened to hear the news of the death of former player Richard Hadgkiss earlier this week.

‘Hadgie’ was a regular member of the Fairford side during the early 90s under Paul Richardson and also represented Cheltenham Town, Swindon Supermarine and CHQ. The 46-year old also spent a brief spell as manager at Cinder Lane and played in a number of Vets games at the club.

Stuart Pike, Football Chairman at Fairford Town FC, said: “The passing of Richard has shocked us all and not just from a Club who he once served as a player and manager but also in the local community.

“There will be minute’s silence at the home fixture this Saturday v Cheltenham Saracens, where as a club we will pay our respects to Richard whose life has come to an end far too early. All our deepest condolences go out to his family and our thoughts & prayers are with you at this very difficult time.”

Fairford Town Football Club would like to extend their sincere sympathy and condolences to Richard’s family and friends.
