Are you interested in becoming a Volunteer for Fairford Town Football Club?
In recent seasons a number of kind hearted people have helped out at Cinder Lane by providing a range of services for free.
But although we are well served by a fantastic team of volunteers – we still need to attract more supporters to help us deliver on matchdays as the club continues to grow on and off the pitch.
The more friendly volunteers we can attract the more the work can be shared. Volunteers do not have to be available to work every home match day but if you are able to help out even just a few times a season this would be a great help
Kit manager – Someone to assist on matchdays with laying out and collecting match kit before and after games. Washing facilities on site and travel provided to away matches.
Cook – To assist with preparing post-match food for players. Whether for each home game or once a while, any help would be welcome.
Handyman – To assist each Monday morning with a variety of jobs around the ground. Would suit a recent retiree looking to join a friendly volunteer team for a few hours a week.
Gate staff – These are responsible for allowing supporters into the ground in a friendly and efficient manner. They are also responsible for completing the paperwork, accounting for the money taken and delivering it to the clubhouse. Most arrive at 2pm and work until shortly after kick off. No-one works every week, and in fact some only work a couple of times a season if the volunteer asks for this.
You may feel you can add value in other ways as an active part of our Committee – if so, we would also love to hear from you.
We would like to invite anyone who can give whatever spare time they may have to assist around the club, particularly on a Saturday and/or Monday morning. A passion for football is optional!
